Description:
Outside The Box worked with DynCorp International in support of their $165M Afghanistan Design/Build (DB) Program for construction of Kunduz Afghan National Army (ANA) Garrison and Gamberi ANA Garrison, Afghanistan, under multiple contracts with USACE-AEN. Outside The Box was sought out to assist DynCorp International with their program based on our knowledge of DB project delivery, past performance in hostile environments, and experience with USACE constructing military facilities. The work at each Garrison consisted of the design, site-adaptation, and construction of new campus facilities including barracks, storage buildings, dining facilities, embedded training team compound and interpreters’ compound facilities, warehouses, maintenance garages, fire stations, vehicle refueling points, bulk fuel storage, training centers, and ablution buildings; prime power plant and electrical distribution system; communication system; sanitary sewer collection system; waste water treatment and solid waste collection points; water supply and distribution system; road networks; and force protection measures (perimeter walls, guard towers, anti-vehicle trenches, access control points).
